Privacy policy and data handling

Who this policy covers

Idaho AI Consulting ("I", "me") is run by Grant Morris in Meridian, Idaho, and operates idahoaiconsulting.com. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, who else handles it and what you can ask me to do with it. It covers this website only. Work done for clients is governed by the written agreement for that engagement.

Information you give me

When you submit the contact form, I collect what you enter: your name, email, company, and optionally your website, a description of a repetitive task and the tools you use. If you used the hours estimator before submitting, its rough inputs (staff count, hours, share of time) are attached so I can see what you were estimating. If you arrived from a link with campaign tags (UTM parameters), the tag values and the page you landed on are attached too, so I know which channels actually bring in conversations.

If you email me directly, I receive whatever you include in that email.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which buttons are used. It runs with Google Consent Mode: advertising storage is always off, and for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics storage is off by default too. Where analytics storage is off, Google receives cookieless measurement pings rather than setting analytics cookies.

A few site events are measured: a successful contact-form submission (recorded as generate_lead) and clicks on the discovery-call booking link (booking_click), along with page views and similar interactions. These events carry only non-identifying details such as the page path, the button's location on the page and the campaign tags. The site code drops anything that looks like an email address, and never sends your name, email, company or message text to analytics.

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may use strictly necessary technical signals to deliver pages and block abuse. Turnstile may use technical signals to verify that you're human.

How I use information

I use form information to respond to your inquiry, follow up by email and arrange a conversation. I use aggregated analytics to decide what to improve on the site. I don't sell personal information, and I don't use it for unrelated marketing or share it with advertisers.

Service providers

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent spam. Form submissions are delivered by email through [EMAIL PROVIDER, TBD]. Analytics are processed by Google Analytics. If you book a call, scheduling is handled by Google Calendar under Google's privacy policy.

Please don't send sensitive information

Please don't include client, customer, financial or health information in the form or in a first email. If an engagement later involves sensitive data, how it's handled is set out in the written agreement first.

Retention

I keep inquiry emails as long as needed to respond and for ordinary business records, and delete them on request where practical. Analytics data is kept according to the Google Analytics retention setting for this property [CONFIRM: e.g. 14 months].

Your choices

To ask what information you've submitted, or to have it corrected or deleted, email [email protected]. You can block analytics with your browser's privacy settings or a content blocker; the site works the same either way. The booking page and contact form don't require analytics to function.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn't directed to children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

I may update this page when the site's tools change. The date above will change when I do, and material changes will be noted at the top of the page.
